Another Week of Fifty Frenzy — April 20 ’11
This week has been another crazy one (No, it never stops for this DivaMom!). I spent yesterday on Dr. Oz discussing the Fifty Shades phenomenon. It was so much fun! The audience was filled with Fifty Fans! I hope they can all come to two huge DivaMoms luncheons planned with EL James herself next month. This is every fan’s opportunity to sit down for lunch with the very mind that created Christian and Ana…and made a gray tie sexy! The first is on May 7 and the second on May 11. You can find all the info and order tickets here. Don’t wait to buy tickets! These seats are going to go fast and furious!

Speaking of book readings, I had the opportunity to attend Kelly Florio Kasouf’s book reading for The Super Adventures of Sophie and the City earlier this week. The book follows a young girl’s day in New York City at the famous Conde Nast Building at 4 Times Square turning it from a simple office building to a fun-filled fantasyland. Kelly is the daughter of long-time Conde Nast publisher Steve Florio, and she wrote the book in memory of her dad. Many of the adventures Sophie goes on are similar to those Kelly had as a child. It’s an adorable book that I highly recommend!

Since Mother’s Day is coming up, I also have to tell you about these adorable Susan & Veronica aprons. This is something you should definitely hint to receive on our special day and buy for your friends. They are strapless, frilly and fabulyss — everything a DivaMom could want when cooking in the kitchen! And the best part is they have matching styles for mom and daughter! My favorite is the Sugar Bomb® Vanity Flair apron. Each one of these aprons is one-of-a-kind because of the special Swarovski crystal detailing. I love putting on this apron when I’m hosting a dinner or friends because it adds the perfect amount of bling I always need! Check out all the styles on the Susan & Veronica website, and keep an eye out on the DivaMoms Facebook and Twitter pages. We will be giving away one of the Vanity Flair aprons to a lucky DivaMom this week!
Heading into the weekend, my schedule is full of baseball games and birthday parties. I also have to share with you this adorable story about Jackson. I took him to get my hair blown out yesterday, and he asked to get his done too! I have never seen him with straight hair, and he looked so grown up — my little man! As we walked out of the salon, he told me he’s coming with me every week to get his blow out! I just may have started something I can’t stop…

Have a fabulyss weekend!
xoxo,
Lyss
